Director

Paul G. Marquez is a Director in the Economic Consulting group of the Litigation Services practice at MRV Consulting. In this position, Mr. Marquez directs complex business litigation, forensic valuation, and corporate dispute resolution.  As an expert witness, he has testified in the Federal and State courts, arbitration, and mediation.

Mr. Marquez specializes in financial valuations and pricing of complex investment instruments and vehicles.  Bringing over 25 years of experience in accounting, law, and finance to business valuation advisory services, Mr. Marquez has been a partner, principal, and director of several middle-market accounting firms, heading up their respective valuation and litigation consulting groups.

 

Mr. Marquez began his distinguished career as a management trainee with Delmarva Power & Light Company (later known as Conectiv, and now a PHI Company). He later joined Price Waterhouse LLP (now PriceWaterhouseCoopers) as a utilities industry consultant in the Energy Group. After the PWC merger, he joined LordSPV, a boutique securitization firm on Wall Street.

Over the years, Mr. Marquez has been significantly involved with education.  He has conducted numerous hands-on training courses and seminars and serves as an Adjunct Professor in the School of Management of the New York Institute of Technology. An experienced presenter, he is a frequent panelist and speaker at national, regional, and local conferences and seminars.

Mr. Marquez stays current in accounting and litigation services and influences their development by participating in various professional organizations.  He is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Delaware Society of CPAs, and the New York State Society of CPAs (NYSSCPA).  He is also a member of the NYSSCPA’s Litigation Services and Bankruptcy & Financial Reorganization Committees and serves as Secretary and Director of the Long Island Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants. Additionally, he is a member of the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and several professional organizations relating to forensic accounting, business valuation, fraud examination, and business appraisals.
